中国戏剧中的道歉语方略
In this study, I present apologizing strategies that I compiled from Chinese plays. First, this paper discusses apologizing strategies can be used by the Chinese. Second, it analyzes psychological character of apologizing strategies used by the Chinese.
The result is that the Chinese use various apology expressions and strategies in various situations of apologizing. It is noticeable that the Chinese use apologizing strategies of “Expression of Apology” and “Acknowledge of Responsibility” more often than “Explanation” “Offer of Repair” “Promise of Forbearance” “Expressing Concern for Hearer” “Address” and “Minimizing the degree of offence”. At the same time, it shows that the Chinese often use “Address” with other apologizing strategies together. As a whole, this paper emphasizes the importance of apologizing strategies used as communicative lubricants for maintaining good human relations in Chinese socio-cultural and linguistic systems.
